Textile facade design
The project for the façade design with membrane focuses on the use of triangular sails made of fire-red, translucent mesh fabric. Covering a total area of 75 m², these sails shape the façade and gallery of the industrial building both visually and functionally
Each sail measures between 2 and 6 m², combining a striking color scheme with the practical function of shading the façade. The fire-red color of the mesh fabric creates a vibrant visual presence and reflects the dynamic nature of the company’s logo, integrating the corporate design into the architecture.
A special design element is the rounded corner plates, which serve as deflectors for the edge ropes and as connectors for the tensioning devices. This elegant detail ensures uniform tensioning of the edge ropes and the membrane, while simultaneously reducing material consumption. The use of tensioning devices and ropes allows for flexible adjustment of the sails and contributes to the structural integrity of the installation, fulfilling both aesthetic and functional requirements. The sails effectively protect the façade and gallery from direct sunlight, helping to reduce the heating of the interior spaces. At the same time, the translucency of the material allows for natural lighting of the rooms. This combination of shading and lighting ensures a comfortable room temperature and a pleasant indoor atmosphere. The sails not only provide a functional solution but also serve as a distinctive visual accent that makes the building unique.
Overall, the project combines aesthetic, functional, and symbolic aspects, blending modern façade design with practical sun-shading technology. The membrane sails offer a contemporary solution for shading, while simultaneously contributing to the company’s brand identity by bringing its logo and color scheme to life in an architectural way.
