We have been involved in extensive research projects on the subject of changeable and adaptive membranes. By developing various prototypes, we have been able to test the system in built form and gain valuable experience. Variable textiles are used in membrane architecture to shade roofs or facades, but can also be used as privacy screens. In particular, membrane systems with pneumatic control have been tested.
